​Hi my name is Mimi. Currently, I am a Graduate Student attending Texas State University for Recreational Therapy. My goal as a recreational therapist is to combine my creativity to help others heal! When I complete my graduate program, I plan to educate others on the benefits of animal-assisted therapy, recreation therapy and continue to provide therapy dog day care. Our pup Po Bear has brought so much joy and comfort into our lives, and that’s why we love what we do. We build such strong bonds with our fur friends and fur babies, that's why it is difficult to leave them at home for a day when we need to go to work. Trust me I get it! And I know you feel the same because you are here and you want someone who can care for your animals as if it is their own and I am your gal. In Colorado, I was a small-town pet sitter and enjoyed caring for the neighborhood's pets of all kinds and helping their owners to feel secure knowing that their pets would be well taken care of. I have experience fostering animals and raising my Siberian puppy, and I have gained so much insight into animal behavior. Siberian Huskies are known for being stubborn but we have built such a loving connection with our Husky that you wouldn’t believe how sweet and much he responds to us. I take care of my fur baby by understanding what his needs are based on his breed, personality, and what he tells me through his behaviors. This is so important because our companions has needs too! As a pet sitter, I want to give your pet lots of love, we could go out to nature trails and help them manage their separation anxiety by building trust and comfort and following their daily routines. I understand that each of our companions is different and it takes nurturing their needs so that they may live fruitful, healthy lives like us and that’s where I come in. I'm very patient and have a knack for understanding all walks of life which I consider to be my greatest strength! I would be honored to care for your pups.
